Kendriya
Vidyalaya No.1 was established at Air Force Station
Adampur in 1965. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an
autonomous body run by Human Resource Development the
Ministry of Education Govt. of India, New
Delhi. Primarily, it caters to the educational needs
of the children of transferable Defence Personal,
Central Govt. Employees and Personnel of All India
Services. Besides other floating population can be
granted admission subject to the availability of the
seats. This Vidyalaya prepares pupils for AISSE and
AISSCE conducted by the C.B.S.E., New Delhi. The
Vidyalaya provides studies of Humanities & Science
stream up to class 12th. It has about 1347 students on
roll with qualified staff strength of 62. The Vidyalaya
is running in its own spacious building. This Vidyalaya
is a model Kendriya Vidyalaya out of a few selected
Kendriya Vidyalayas in India.
